Each season\, this piece is usually performed with full orchestra at the Hollywood Bowl with some renowned violinists. \nThe second part of the program is Gershwin’s famous Rhapsody in Blue performed by Brendan White. This piece was popular during WWII and combined classical and jazz elements. Hollywood Reporter ranks the school 3rd in the world. Since its inception in the early 1900s\, the USC Thornton Symphony has been a visible artistic presence in the Los Angeles music community.
